Frequently Asked Questions

How Does Pricing Work?

Pricing is based on the Hanging weight of the Steer. Hanging weight is the point right before processing. If the full Steer weighs 944 pounds, then you divide by 4 to capture a 1/4. In this case, a quarter beef weighs 236 pounds.

How Much Beef will I get in a quarter ?

From the point of hanging weight, the beef will be processed. You will eliminate bones and unwanted materials. Your beef will be approximately 63% of the starting hanging weight. For a quarter steer that weighs 236, you will recieve roughly 145 to 150 pounds of premium beef.
